About WriteLift and Karen Nielsen Palconit
Hi, I'm Karen.
I run WriteLift out of Quezon City. The legal name on my invoices is Palconit Digital Marketing Services, but every brand that's worked with me knows me as Karen, and that's how I prefer it.
Before launching WriteLift, I wrote freelance for clients across a handful of categories. The pattern that kept showing up: small eCommerce brands had decent products, decent photography, and copy that could not pull its own weight. So I built a service for that gap.
Why hard goods only
The principled choice behind the niche list.
WriteLift writes for twelve hard-goods niches and zero claims-heavy categories. That means home décor, stationery, board games, bags, hobby gear, photography and audio equipment, home-office furniture, kitchenware, pet accessories, books, office supplies, and craft supplies are in. Supplements, skincare, cosmetics, pet food, pet supplements, CBD, weight-loss, financial-advice, medical, and legal are out.
This is a deliberate choice, not a knowledge gap. Claims-heavy categories are governed by the FTC, FDA, ASA, TGA, and a long tail of state regulators and class-action plaintiffs. Writing them safely requires a different muscle than writing them well. I'd rather be the writer who makes a board-game listing irresistible or a Klaviyo welcome flow feel human than the writer who has to redline every adjective for substantiation risk.
The same principle extends to "green," "non-toxic," "natural," and "Made in USA" claims on otherwise-low-risk hard goods. The FTC's Green Guides (16 CFR Part 260) and Country-of-Origin rules govern those claims directly, and class actions against household-cleaner and candle brands are still landing in 2026. WriteLift writes around those traps. Copy stays focused on what the product does and what the buyer experiences, not on substantiation-fragile labels.
The result for clients in my niches: faster work, lower revision overhead, and copy that does not need to be lawyered before it ships. Google's helpful-content guidance rewards copy written for humans first, and that is exactly what hard-goods buyers respond to.
Credentials & background
Where I come from, in short.
Palconit Digital Marketing Services is a registered Philippine business based in Quezon City. I work with clients in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, and Canada, almost always direct (no agency intermediation). I keep continuing-education time on the books for Klaviyo's email-marketing curriculum, Google Search Central's documentation updates, and the major platform changes from Shopify, Amazon, Etsy, and WooCommerce.
I'm happy to send sample work in your specific niche before any contract is signed. Ask in your inquiry.
Brand values
What you can expect from working with me.
- Plain-spoken. No "elevate," "unlock," or "world-class." I write the way real buyers read.
- Reliable on dates. Standard turnaround is 5–10 business days. If I quote you a Tuesday, you get it on Tuesday.
- Transparent on AI. I use AI for research and outlining. Final copy is human-written and human-edited. This matches current industry practice and Google's E-E-A-T guidance.
- Honest about scope. If I'm not the right fit, I'll say so. I keep a short list of writers I trust for adjacent niches and will refer when it's the right call.
- Fixed pricing, no surprises. Every package on the pricing page is priced flat. Two revision rounds are baked in. Rush turnaround and direct CMS posting are the only standard add-ons, and they're listed up front.
- Quiet between drafts. I do the work, then deliver. You don't get five status updates a week. If something is going to slip a deadline, you hear about it the moment I know — not the day before delivery.
Location & timezone
Manila is a feature, not a footnote.
I'm in Quezon City, Metro Manila — UTC+8. That puts me roughly 12 hours ahead of New York, 8 hours ahead of London, and 2 hours behind Sydney.
For US and UK clients, the practical effect is overnight turnaround: brief me end-of-day, the first draft is in your inbox before your next morning. For Australian clients, we share enough business hours that real-time chat works during your afternoons. Currency is invoiced in USD via Wise or PayPal; bank wire and Stripe checkout are available for retainer clients.
What's not on the menu
Services WriteLift doesn't offer.
Transparency saves both of us a discovery call. WriteLift does not offer:
- Copy for supplements, skincare, cosmetics, CBD, weight-loss, pet food, or pet supplements
- Medical, legal, or financial-advice copywriting
- Influencer outreach, paid-ad management, or PR pitching
- Web design, development, photography, or video
- SEO audits beyond on-page copy and metadata
If you need any of those, I am happy to refer. Just ask in your inquiry.
How to start
Working together is a four-step process.
Send an inquiry through the contact form with what you sell, what you need, and your rough budget and timeline. Within one business day you'll get sample suggestions, a recommended package, and a fixed quote. From there it's discovery call, intake form, draft, revisions, delivery — the full process is documented here.
If you'd rather see pricing first, the pricing page covers the full menu, and the portfolio has spec samples in several niches.
